Put on old St. Christopher, And strap up on my pack, Because I think that it's time for me to go. There's no use in loving somebody, Who doesn't love you back, And I think that it's time for me to go. Because I think I lost my heart in artificial gravity, I was living in a hologram of only you and me. If the world was right, you would be famous and trendy. And if the world was just, you'd be a star. Like the way I feel you are. Shine on... I know I have to go but don't forget me when I'm gone. Shine on... One thousand miles into the night, you'll be the brightest star in my sky. History repeats itself, This time I'll make things right, but I think that it's time for me to go. We'll figure it out, I tell myself, so I can make it through the night. But I think that it's time for me to go.

Prozac Girl 04:20
Is she a victim of her own physiology, or just a victim of some bad psychology, all I do know is she's fifteen and she's on Prozac. She sits in her room and cries all night, never had a real boyfriend in her life. Her mommy wonders why she doesn't have any friends, Daddy only sees her when he has her on the weekends. Is she a victim of her own physiology, or just a victim of some bad psychology, all I do know is she's fifteen and she's on Prozac. And the doctor said, "you better take your meds, to fix what's wrong inside your mind." Just a Prozac Girl in a Prozac world, Shift the blame and everything will be just fine. Her grandma thinks that it might be bad luck, I think we used to call it "just growing up", when you feel that your life is just pathetic, you slap it in a textbook, and blame it on genetics. She doesn't cry anymore, she doesn't laugh anymore, she doesn't know how she should feel anymore. A chemical imbalance, that's covered by insurance, it's hard to be a little girl, when you're numb to the world.

Flower-Child 04:07
Seeds of irresponsibility, and a selfish kind of love, birth the flower-child, Neglected with the grey sky, Beaten with the drought, Treated as immaterial grass, Cut down and shut out. Withering away, Dying slowly. Withering away. Dying slowly. Will you ever bloom? Don't cry child of darkness, The sky will open up to dawn. The life-giving rains, will wash your flood of tears away. You're not alone anymore

Woke up this morning paralyzed by a dream, Stared at my ceiling for an hour, Prayed a little, thought a little, then got outta bed. Then I went to work at nothing for what seemed like forever. The days turn to hours, the minutes race past. Dreams have this way with me, moving too fast. We danced until dawn under endless sky, but when I woke up, it had passed me by. I'm falling behind in the human race, cuz all of my life I've been running in place. The boys with big dreams have to pick up the pace, or all of our lives we'll be running in place. This room looks so old and worn and beat, I stared out my window for an hour. When you have too much ambition than it's worse than none at all, when you're waiting for a sign that will never come. The days turn to hours, the minutes race past. Dreams have this way with of outreaching my grasp. We danced until dawn under endless sky, but when I woke up, it had passed me by. I'm falling behind in the human race, cuz all of my life I've been running in place. The boys with big dreams have to pick up the pace, or all of our lives we'll be running in place.

Intellectual terrorists are poisoning my head, They want to break down my resistance, And have my conscience left for dead. They like to make you think that they’re the righteous ones, And they’ll beat you down and call you names for sticking to your guns. You won’t replace my sensibility, With your overanxious, overloaded, oversensitivity. And if you look, you will find, A rather sorry state of mind, Of all the people who won’t stand up for their views. And if you look you might see, You don’t have to agree with me, But I won’t close my mind for you. It’s easy to be blind, it’s easy to be led, You like to cough up all the ideas, That you’ve been force-fed. No one likes the freak, no one likes the odd man out. I’d rather live my life alone, Than live a life of doubt. I won’t let you force yourself on me, I refuse to be a victim to your society. And if you look, you will find, A rather sorry state of mind, Of all the people who won’t stand up for their views. And if you look you might see, You don’t have to agree with me, But I won’t close my mind for you. You can’t break me down, I won’t close my mind for you. Intellectual terrorists are morality anarchists, And sensitivity exorcists are poisoning my head. But I won’t close my eyes for you, I won’t turn away the truth, I won’t let you make me, overdose, or complicate me. You can’t break me down. I won’t close my mind for you.

Meat Market 04:01
Going down to the Meat Market, I'm looking for the first one, that looks my way. Take me to the Meat Market, When it's two o'clock in the morning, I'm not picky. I'm not picky. It's all the same to me. I'm not picky. We're not looking for an answer. We don't care what we find, This hunting ground is a sleazy dive, where deperate people lead desperate lives. All we do is live to survive, I said to her as she looked in my eyes. Is she staring at my face? Is she looking at my ass? Can she find her knight in shining armor, through the bottom of a glass? We'll say anything that we want, to get what we want tonight. One more trip to the Meat Market. You're looking for Prince Charming, to break your heart. Take me to the Meat Market. The All-American Girl is a porno star. A porno star, if it's all the same to you, then it's all the same to me. This hunting ground is a sleazy dive, where deperate people lead desperate lives. All we do is live to survive, I said to her as she looked in my eyes. Is she staring at my face? Is she looking at my ass? Can she find her knight in shining armor, through the bottom of a glass? We're not looking for forever, we don't care what you think. We're just a bunch of primates, that know how to mix a drink. They say true love waits, at least until last call. We're all porno stars in a meat market, Hearts pumping alcohol.

Broken Toy 03:08
I opened a box of toys I broke, and the ones that have broken me. Cruising in my lego car, and Jem was my favorite star, But I fell in love with a girl, from a galaxy far, far away. Hey boy, where did you go? Life ain't that simple, don't you know? And the Duke boys couldn't get away, when I painted in shades of grey. Don't look me in the eye, I can't take what it makes me see. It opens a box of toys I broke, and the ones that have broken me. It reminds me too much, of the way things used to be. I can't play with a broken toy, I can't live on a memory. Ronnie's got a million guns, Protecting us from Mao Tse Tsung, but I don't want to think about, ”The Day After” today. Hey boy, what did you say? Can Voltron make it all okay? Or will my faith that ran away, bump into me someday? Don't look me in the eye, I can't take what it makes me see. It opens a box of toys I broke, and the ones that have broken me. It reminds me too much, of the way things used to be. I can't play with a broken toy, I can't live on a memory.

Defeated 05:33
Never look directly into the, heart of the sun, Never leave your battlefield, before your fight's been won, and let the ghosts that haunt me, come visit me tonight, I want to join their midnight dance, I want to surrender under the moonlight. When will the war inside your heart ever end? Why must you fight it all alone? Can you fill your empty soul on your own? I lay defeated, torn and broken at your feet, Can I make you happy now? I lay defeated, you have brought me to my knees. I cannot fight you anymore. And I'll try to hide the bitterness, that my heart holds, I'll try to regain the innocence, that you bought and sold, And I'll try to pick my broken pieces up off the ground, Will you care? No, you won't care, when they fall back down. When will the war inside your heart ever end? Why must you fight it alone? I see the blood that's on my hands is my own. I cannot fight you. I will not fight you. So why can't I just walk away? Does he do the things I never did? Does he make you feel wanted? Tell him to make you happy the way I never could. Even though you're standing next to me, you're a million miles away. Your indifference has defeated me, adding insult to injury. Now that you have beaten me, now that you have victory, now that we are history, will you ever be happy? I lay defeated.
9.
You can't make it on your own, so you take away my only friend, I see the knife that you're pointing at my back, trying to take away my only friend, I ever had. Reach for your guns. I'm ready for war. Fight to the death, let's settle the score. Try to take me down, I'll tear out your heart. Fight to the death, so you won't hurt me no more. I say my love is stronger than you've ever known, I say you'lll understand after you are gone. I say that friendship lies in more than just words, love lies in jealousy and corners never heard. You say this is just a game. Tell me that when I'm tearing out your heart, you raise an axe when my head is on the block, trying to take away the only friend I ever had. Reach for your guns. I'm ready for war. Fight to the death, let's settle the score. Try to take me down, I'll tear out your heart. Fight to the death, so you won't hurt me no more. I say my love is stronger than you've ever known, I say you'll understand after you are gone. I say that friendship lies in more than just words, our circle has three corners and I know how much it hurts.

Remember when you told me, I’m not worth the time of day? Remember when you slapped my face, By just looking away? But I won’t hold a grudge, I just wanna see you die (a painful death), I won’t feel bitter, It just feels good to see you cry… Over and over again. It looks like I have lost again… I’ll be your loving puppy, I’ll be your slave for torture, I’ll be the one you call the LOSER OF THE YEAR. I’ll be your willing victim, I’ll be your whipping boy, I’ll be your one and only LOSER OF THE YEAR. Remember when you tripped me, Because I looked so lame? Remember when you laughed at me, Because I didn’t dress the same? But I won’t feel hurt, I won’t break in front of you. Don’t you think I feel? Don’t you think I have emotions too? Don’t you remember gym class? Looks like I’m chosen last again… Yeah, you need me. Yeah, you need me. I’m the one who makes you feel good about yourself, So I hope you love yourself. But I won't hold a grudge, I JUST WANT TO SEE YOU DIE. Don't you think I feel? Don’t you think I have emotions too? Don’t you remember gym class? Looks like I’m chosen last again… I’ll be your loving puppy, I’ll be your slave for torture, I’ll be the one you call the LOSER OF THE YEAR. I’ll be your willing victim, I’ll be your whipping boy, I’ll be your one and only LOSER OF THE YEAR.

Carbon Copy 04:25
Whatever happened to your passion, and all the pretty things that you used to believe in? Was it worth trading your soul in, for a vampire bite and a lump of coal? I heard all the junior high school cheerleaders had a crush on you, I know because I read it on your FAQ, and all the small town boys were chomping at the bit, a rose by any other name smells just like shit. Did you get your piece of the action, Your pot of gold and an ice cream cone? Did my death give you satisfaction, I saw you paint my picture on an old tombstone, yeah. I heard all the neighbors' kids, were in love with you/ I know because I read it on your FAQ, and I tried for so long to put my finger on it, a rose by any other name smells just like shit. Are you real, or just a carbon copy? A bloodless rose has a heartless body, And you feel, just like a carbon copy, you're paper thin of who you used to be. I heard all the high school cheerleaders were in love with you, I know because I read it on your FAQ, and all the small town boys were chomping at the bit, a rose by any other name smells just like shit. Are you real, or just a carbon copy? A bloodless rose has a heartless body, And you feel, just like a carbon copy, you're paper thin of who you used to be. Now you're just like me, just like me, just like me, just like me. Are you just a carbon copy? A rose by any other name, smells like shit just the same.

Snuff Film 03:38
Directed and premeditated, Graphic gore, triple-X rated, Ends a life that was so jaded, on the Roman Senate floor. When I realized that my religion, was nothing more than superstition, reality turned into visions, knocking at my door. My life was a snuff film, that was over before it began. My life was a snuff film, and it was that day my wings fell away, and I turned my back on man. Driving through the streets of Dallas, Conspiracies so full of malice, Are cold, unfeeling, cruel, and callous, hid behind a grassy knoll. When I saw the things that came to pass, through a mirror made of broken glass, the future looked just like the past, questioning the soul. My life was a snuff film, that was over before it began. My life was a snuff film, and it was that day my wings fell away, and I turned my back on man. And when God appeared, in a cloud of faith and fear, he looked at what he made and cried, and he contemplated suicide. And all the angels vanished from the earth, leaving a sad, mistaken birth, of a life never led, endlessly dancing with the dead. My life was a snuff film, that was over before it began. My life was a snuff film, and it was that day my wings fell away, and I turned my back on man.

Pretend 02:59
I think I lost you along the road, because I didn't know how to grow up. Maybe that's why I feel so old, my life flashed before my eyes. Maybe we could talk over a beer, about the way we think things ought to be. We could try to remember how we got here, and whatever, and whatever became of me. Wouldn't it be fun to pretend, that the Earth was round, and we were sixteen again? We could drive all night, until the sun comes up my friend, and I'll listen for your name in the wind. And I think I missed the train, well, I guess I should have bought a ticket. I don't think I ever changed, time slips by and I'm still the same. We were running hand in hand, I didn't know you'd go so fast. That's why I just don't understand, how you reached your destination and I'm still living in the past. Wouldn't it be fun to pretend, that the Earth was round, and we were sixteen again? We could drive all night, until the sun comes up my friend, and I'll listen for your name in the wind. I'm the last one standing here. Just a relic in the museum of our lives. I'll be waiting when you come back. I'll be the one who's just a step, just a step behind the times. Wouldn't it be fun to pretend, that the Earth was round, and we were sixteen again? We could drive all night, until the sun comes up my friend, and I'll listen for your name in the wind.

Did you read the news today, did you listen to what it said? It said our world was going to Hell, and soon we'll all be dead. Don't tell me about your apathy, Don't tell me you don't wanna believe, Don't tell me that it's not your problem, Can't you see... you're not alone? I want to change the world. But I can't do it by myself, I need somebody else. Wandering in the dark, we've been living with blindfolds on. Just thinking about ourselves for too damn long. Don't tell me that you don't care, Don't tell me that the world's not fair, Don't tell me there's nothing you can do to help at all. That's no excuse. I want to change the world. But I can't do it by myself. I need somebody else.
