The fastest track we've ever recorded and one of the most straight-ahead punk rock songs we've done too. It's a completely passive-aggressive song. Sure, the character is standing up for himself but he's still waiting for things to happen to him. He's not hanging up the phone, himself. He obviously completely hates the way things are going, and because of a personal sense of responsibility is sticking around. But he still wants to be the "good guy", he still wants to be the victim (at least in the verses.) I hope by the end of the track, he finally comes to his senses and takes control over his life. But it's about breaking co-dependence, "No More Mr. Nice Guy" as Alice Cooper would say. Plus, Ben's guitar solo is wicked fast. Recommended if you like Green Day or MXPX or NOFX, this would probably be one of our closest tracks to that style of punk.
